Schropp SF740 Pulley & Tune Power Package for Shelby GT500 2013–2014

The Schropp SF740 Pulley & Tune Power Package for the 2013–2014 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 5.8 V8 combines our 2.4" supercharger pulley with the matching serpentine belt, NGK spark plugs, SCT X4 and a Schropp Custom Tune specifically calibrated for the vehicle and the modified supercharger drive ratio.

The smaller supercharger pulley changes the drive ratio of the factory supercharger and increases boost pressure. Combined with the additional components and matching engine calibration, the SF740 Power Package provides a power increase of approximately 80 hp. Actual power output may vary depending on vehicle condition and existing modifications.

As replacing the supercharger pulley on the Shelby GT500 is not a typical DIY procedure, we specifically recommend the SF740 including installation and dyno tuning at Schropp. The Power Package is also available for self-installation.

Our recommendation: installation and dyno tuning at Schropp

With the recommended version, we professionally replace the supercharger pulley using the appropriate special tool, install the components included with the SF740 and subsequently tune the vehicle on our dyno.

This allows us to take the actual vehicle configuration into account during calibration and verify the result directly on the vehicle.

Also available for self-installation

If you prefer to install the SF740 yourself or have the work carried out by another specialist workshop, this is also possible. In this case, you receive the complete Power Package with 2.4" pulley, matching serpentine belt, NGK spark plugs, SCT X4 and the individually created Schropp Custom Tune.

2.4" Pulley and Schropp Custom Tune as a matched package

Changing the supercharger drive ratio requires a corresponding engine calibration. The 2.4" pulley is therefore combined with a Schropp Custom Tune individually created for the vehicle as part of the SF740.

The Custom Tune takes the modified supercharger drive ratio as well as the individual vehicle data and existing modifications into account. The calibration is created based on the ECU Strategy and the actual vehicle configuration.

Serpentine belt and NGK spark plugs included

In addition to the 2.4" supercharger pulley, the SF740 includes the matching serpentine belt and NGK spark plugs. The package therefore combines the components intended for this performance level with the corresponding engine calibration.

How to receive your Schropp Custom Tune for self-installation

When ordering the self-installation version, the SCT X4 is initially supplied without the Custom Tune file. After receiving the device, use the “Vehicle Info” menu to read the ECU Strategy from your Shelby GT500.

We then require the following information by email:

• Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
• ECU Strategy
• model year and engine
• transmission
• existing vehicle and engine modifications
• rear tyre size
• modified final drive ratio, if applicable
• fuel grade used

Any other modifications to the engine, intake system, supercharger, exhaust system or other components relevant to the calibration must also be specified.

Based on this information, we create the matching Schropp Custom Tune and send the Tune file to you by email. The file is then transferred to the SCT X4 using the SCT Device Updater on a Windows PC and programmed into the vehicle using the X4.

After receiving and/or pairing the device with the vehicle, unnecessary SCT X4 updates should be avoided.

Important information about the Stock File

During the first programming procedure, the SCT X4 saves the software currently installed on the ECU as the Stock File. If the vehicle already has a calibration from another tuner, that existing calibration will therefore be saved – not automatically the original Ford factory calibration.

If your Shelby GT500 has already been tuned and you additionally require an original Ford factory calibration, please let us know when ordering. We can provide a suitable factory calibration as a separate Custom Tune / Stock Tune file.

Super Plus / minimum 98 RON required

The Schropp Custom Tune for the SF740 is calibrated for Super Plus fuel with a minimum rating of 98 RON. The specified fuel grade must be used when operating the vehicle with the Schropp calibration.
