Eliminate the factory hood prop rod with the Redline Tuning QuickLIFT PLUS. Simply begin lifting the hood and the gas struts take over, raising it smoothly and holding it securely in the open position. This vehicle-specific system is designed for the 1979–1998 Ford Mustang with the factory hood, covering Mustang 3 as well as 1994–1998 Mustang 4 models. The QuickLIFT PLUS version features black gas struts and black mounting brackets throughout, creating a clean and discreet appearance in the engine bay. Progressive-rate gas struts Redline Tuning's gas struts are specifically engineered for the individual vehicle application and feature end-of-stroke damping. This slows the extension during the final part of the opening movement rather than allowing the hood to reach its fully open position abruptly. Drilling is required to install the mounting brackets. The required specialist mounting hardware is included with the system. QuickLIFT PLUS – all-black systemThe steel mounting brackets are zinc plated for corrosion protection and then finished with a black powder coating. The gas struts are also finished in black, allowing the complete system to blend discreetly into the engine bay.
