Schropp SF450-Gen5 Power Package for Mustang GT & Boss 302 2011–2014 – JLT & Custom Tune

The Schropp SF450-Gen5 Power Package combines the JLT Series II Cold Air Intake with a Schropp Custom Tune specifically calibrated for the intake system and the 2011–2014 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 V8 as well as the Mustang Boss 302.

The introduction of the 5.0 litre Coyote V8 in the 2011 Mustang GT marked the beginning of a new engine generation. The SF450-Gen5 combines a significantly enlarged intake system with the corresponding Schropp engine calibration, creating a complete Power Package rather than simply supplying an individual intake component.

JLT Series II Cold Air Intake for the 5.0 Coyote

The JLT Series II Cold Air Intake CAI2-FMG-11 used in the SF450-Gen5 was developed for the 2011–2014 Mustang GT 5.0 V8 and the Boss 302.

At its heart is a large black textured rotomolded plastic intake tube. The design eliminates unnecessary choke points and accordion-style sections to provide a freer path for incoming air.

The intake system includes a large red oiled high-flow air filter with a 5-inch opening. A rotomolded heat shield helps isolate the intake area from engine-bay heat.

Compatible with alternative intake manifolds

JLT also specifies the CAI2-FMG-11 as compatible with the Boss intake manifold and the 2018+ Mustang GT intake manifold.

This makes the intake system suitable for appropriately modified 2011–2014 Mustang GTs as well. Existing modifications must be provided when ordering so they can be taken into account when creating the Schropp Custom Tune.

JLT Intake and Schropp Custom Tune as a matched package

The larger intake is only one part of the system. The SF450-Gen5 therefore combines the JLT Cold Air Intake with a Schropp Custom Tune individually created for the vehicle.

The Custom Tune takes the JLT intake system, individual vehicle data and existing modifications into account. Engine management and throttle response are optimised accordingly. Adjustment of the factory speed limiter can also be incorporated into the Custom Tune.

On Mustang GT models equipped with an automatic transmission, transmission behaviour can also be optimised as part of the calibration.

With or without SCT X4 – choose the package you need

The Schropp SF450-Gen5 Power Package is available in two versions:

If you do not already own a suitable programmer, choose the complete SF450-Gen5 package including the SCT X4. The X4 is used to transfer the Schropp Custom Tune to the vehicle. During the initial programming process, the factory calibration is saved, allowing the vehicle to be returned to its stock calibration later.

Already own a suitable SCT X4? Choose the Power Package without an additional programmer. Your existing device must be compatible with your vehicle and unmarried. Please update the SCT X4 to the latest software version before ordering. If the device is still married to another vehicle, please contact us before ordering.

How to receive your Schropp Custom Tune

When selecting the version including an SCT X4, the programmer is initially supplied without the Custom Tune file. After receiving the device, use the “Vehicle Info” menu to read your Mustang's ECU Strategy.

To create your individual tune, please email us the following information:

• Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
• ECU Strategy
• existing vehicle and engine modifications
• installed intake manifold, if different from stock
• rear tyre size
• modified final drive ratio, if applicable
• fuel octane used

Using this information, we create the appropriate Schropp Custom Tune and send the tune file to you by email. The file is then transferred to the SCT X4 using the SCT Device Updater before being programmed into the vehicle.

Super Plus / 98 RON required

The Schropp Custom Tune supplied with the SF450-Gen5 is calibrated for Super Plus / minimum 98 RON fuel. The specified fuel quality must be used while operating the vehicle with the Schropp calibration.
