The K&N 33-2298 replacement air filter is a washable and reusable high-flow air filter for the Ford Mustang S197 with the 4.0 V6 and 4.6 V8 engines. It directly replaces the factory air filter inside the original airbox.
The multi-layer K&N cotton filter media is oiled and designed to combine high airflow with effective filtration. The filter is supplied pre-oiled and ready to install.
Direct replacement in the factory airbox
The K&N 33-2298 is designed for the factory Mustang intake system. Simply remove the standard air filter from the original airbox and replace it with the K&N filter.
No modifications to the factory airbox or changes to the engine calibration are required for installation of the replacement filter.
Washable and reusable
Unlike a conventional disposable paper filter, the K&N air filter is designed for repeated use. When required, the filter media can be cleaned using suitable K&N cleaning and maintenance products and then re-oiled.
After cleaning and servicing, the filter can be reused instead of being replaced with another disposable filter.
