Schropp SF500-JLT Power Package for Mustang GT 2018–2023 – JLT & Custom Tune

The Schropp SF500-JLT Power Package combines the JLT Cold Air Intake with a Schropp Custom Tune specifically calibrated for the intake system and your 2018–2023 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 V8.

The JLT Cold Air Intake CAI-FMG-18 uses a significantly enlarged intake design and requires modified engine calibration. Instead of simply supplying the JLT intake as a standalone component, Schropp combines the hardware with the required custom calibration to create a complete Power Package.

The package is suitable for European and US-spec 2018–2023 Mustang GT 5.0 models.

JLT Cold Air Intake for the Mustang GT 5.0

The JLT intake system was developed for the Mustang GT's 5.0 litre V8. At its heart is a large black textured rotomolded intake tube designed to provide an unrestricted path for incoming air.

The tube measures 120 mm at the MAF and 4.5 inches at the throttle body side. The design eliminates restrictive choke points and accordion-style sections found in the factory intake system.

The system uses a large red oiled high-flow air filter with a 5-inch opening. A purpose-designed rotomolded heat shield helps isolate the intake area from engine-bay heat.

Why is a Custom Tune part of the SF500-JLT?

The JLT CAI-FMG-18 significantly changes the intake system, including the area surrounding the mass airflow sensor. JLT specifies that an ECU tune is required with this Cold Air Intake.

The SF500-JLT therefore includes more than just the intake hardware. We create a Schropp Custom Tune based on the JLT intake system, your individual vehicle data and existing modifications.

The calibration adapts the engine management to the modified intake system and provides more responsive engine behaviour. Adjustment of the factory speed limiter can also be incorporated into the Custom Tune. On vehicles with automatic transmission, transmission behaviour can also be optimised as part of the calibration.

With or without SCT X4 – choose the package you need

The SF500-JLT is available in two versions:

If you do not already own a suitable programmer, choose the complete Power Package including the SCT X4. The X4 is used to transfer the Schropp Custom Tune to the vehicle. During the first programming process, the factory calibration is saved, allowing the vehicle to be returned to its stock calibration later.

Already own a suitable SCT X4? Choose the package without an additional programmer. Your existing device must be compatible with your vehicle and unmarried. Please update the SCT X4 to the latest software version before ordering. If your device is still married to another vehicle, please contact us before ordering.

How to receive your Schropp Custom Tune

When selecting the version including an SCT X4, the programmer is initially supplied without the Custom Tune file. After receiving the device, use the “Vehicle Info” menu to read your Mustang's ECU Strategy.

To create your individual tune, please email us the following information:

• Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
• ECU Strategy
• existing vehicle and engine modifications
• rear tyre size
• modified final drive ratio, if applicable
• fuel octane used

Using this information, we create the appropriate Schropp Custom Tune and send the tune file to you by email. The file is then transferred to the SCT X4 using the SCT Device Updater before being programmed into the vehicle.

Depending on the ECU and software version, creation of an individual Custom Tune may take several days.

Super Plus / 98 RON required

The Schropp Custom Tune supplied with the SF500-JLT is calibrated for Super Plus / minimum 98 RON fuel. The specified fuel quality must be used while operating the vehicle with the Schropp calibration.
