Schropp SF3 GT3-Inspired Rear Wing for Mustang 6 Coupé – with TÜV Approval

The Schropp SF3 Rear Wing is our large rear wing for the Mustang 6 Coupe. Our original Schropp design combines an aggressive, motorsport-inspired appearance with GT3 styling influences and clearly noticeable aerodynamic function.

The SF3 is not simply a styling component. Its size and position in the airflow generate additional downforce at the rear axle, helping to provide a more settled and stable rear end, particularly at higher speeds.

Known from our Schropp SF600R

We used the SF3 ourselves on our former approximately 800 hp Schropp SF600R and were able to experience its aerodynamic influence very clearly.

During Rolling 50 acceleration testing over a distance of one kilometre, the SF600R achieved an approximately 10 km/h lower terminal speed with the SF3 installed than without the rear wing. The comparison clearly demonstrates that the SF3 is actively working in the airflow: additional rear downforce from a large functional wing inevitably also creates additional aerodynamic drag.

The difference was also clearly noticeable from the driver's perspective. This is why we consider the SF3 to be more than a visual modification – it is a functional rear wing for performance-oriented Mustangs.

From the SF3 to the 24-hour race Mustang

We also developed the concept further for motorsport. The OVR Racing Mustang, which competed at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, used a modified and higher-positioned version based on our SF3 design.

The revised position of the rear wing provided the race car with additional aerodynamic stability at the rear axle. According to driver feedback, this additional stability addressed something they had previously been missing through certain sections of the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

The racing version is not identical to the road product offered here, but demonstrates how the fundamental SF3 concept could be developed further for significantly more demanding motorsport use.

Schropp design – distinctive and functional

The large SF3 significantly changes the rear appearance of the Mustang 6. Its motorsport-inspired styling with GT3 influences works particularly well on cars where the suspension, wheels and other components already follow a performance-oriented concept.

Behind the distinctive appearance is genuine aerodynamic function. The SF3 is therefore aimed at Mustang owners who want more than simply the visual presence of a large rear wing.

Supplied with German TÜV parts approval – approved up to 300 km/h

The Schropp SF3 is supplied with a German Teilegutachten (TÜV parts approval) and is approved under the terms of the documentation for a maximum vehicle speed of up to 300 km/h.

A modification inspection is required after installation on the basis of the supplied Teilegutachten.

Installation

The SF3 is securely bolted to the boot lid. Installation therefore requires mounting holes to be drilled into the boot lid.

The rear wing is supplied unpainted, allowing it to be finished to match the vehicle or the desired overall design.
