New Tune File after Ford Software Update – for Existing Schropp SCT Customers

This service is exclusively for customers who already have a Schropp tune file and an SCT flashing device supplied by us.

A Ford software update may change the software version or strategy of the vehicle's engine control unit. If this happens, the existing Schropp tune file has to be adapted to the new software version and a new tune file created.

Why is there a charge for this service?

For many years, we generally provided the creation or adaptation of a tune file following a Ford software update without an additional charge. However, the frequency of these updates and the number of affected vehicles have increased considerably.

Creating a new tune file that is compatible with the updated vehicle software requires additional work and verification. For this reason, we can no longer provide this service free of charge.

Information we need from you

After the Ford software update, please use your SCT device to retrieve the current Vehicle Information and send us the following:

• Vehicle VIN
• Serial number of the SCT device
• Current Strategy / Vehicle Information after the Ford software update

If an additional stock file is required

Depending on the changes made to the vehicle software, we may also need the vehicle's current factory calibration.

In this case, a Stock Upload must be performed on the SCT device under Device Settings. The file can then be retrieved from the device using the SCT Device Updater and the Get Stock File from Device function and sent to us.

We can then use this file to create the new tune file for the updated vehicle software.

Please note: If an additional stock upload is required, the processing time will be longer.

Requirements

• Existing Schropp tune file
• SCT flashing device previously used for the Schropp tune
• Vehicle returned to the stock calibration before the Ford software update
• Current Vehicle Information / Strategy after the update

This product covers only the creation of a new tune file following a change to the Ford vehicle software. It is not a tuning service for vehicles that do not already have a Schropp tune file.
